FSH AS TISSUE MARKER ONCOLOGY A hormone indicator of cancer
THE presence of the hormone FSH, follicle stimulating hormone, IN VARIOUS TYPES OF FABRICS AND INDICATION OF THE PRESENCE OF A TUMOR
| A group of French scholars Inserm (Institut national de la santé et de la Recherche Medical) found that the hormone FSH can be used as a biomarker for tumor tissues. The follicle-stimulating hormone, which in humans stimulates the production of sperm and women the maturation of ovarian follicles can then also be used to distinguish healthy tissue from cancer. The researchers looked at 1336 patients from eleven different types of cancer, including breast, liver, lungs, kidneys and colon, and results showed the presence of FSH in all patients, unlike healthy tissue, including also the diseased tissue of the body, the hormone is absent. The research was published in The New England Journal of Medicine. |
